To clarify for Ron, I didn't think that it was necessary to clarify what was meant in that "selling the used car" scenario, and thought that a rational person could absorb the context of the discussion and apply it effectively.

The discussion was about bashing. Not the telling of the truth, but BASHING. Don't understand the difference? Perhaps that's the problem.

Bashing, as I understand it, is the exageration of the truth or out-n-out lying. Little lies to extremely big lies. All lies, in a sense.

The only differences are that bashing pushes toward the negative, and pumping pushes to the positive; and that bashing is far more effective than pumping.

Repetitive posts with exactly the same theme, even truthful, is also considered by many to be pumping or bashing. Personally, I just find it insulting, annoying and distracting. I DIDN'T FORGET ABOUT ALL THOSE REALITIES. Nobody did. And I certainly didn't forget during the last 10 minutes between posts.

Isn't it interesting that we NEVER see flurries about any good news. Fujitsu settled for $30M. One infringer of hundreds yet to be tapped - and they paid $30M. True. Would you like me to repost that PR a bunch of times in rapid succession? Maybe throw in how this real event exactly foretells the future? How about 10 times if unopposed, and 25 times if opposed? Would that be okay, or would you consider that pumping? And I bet there would be a small chance of the PPS actually rising because of it.

Experiment in the works? Nope. Somebody would try to take advantage. Unethical, even in the interest of science! LOL

And yes, we all already know that if PTSC's fundamentals improve, the PPS will likely rise. Everybody already understands that.

And bashing, "sideshow" as it may be, must be considered by somebody to be effective or it wouldn't be done, period.

Venting? I'm sorry, but IMO if you must post the "vent" 10 times if unopposed and 25 times if opposed, you don't need a message board, you need help.

All should take notice of the defenders of bashing. You'd think they were rational people with reasonably good brains. They acknowledge that bashing is done - hard to deny the obvious. But they can't put together the extremely basic concept that if it's being done, is being done for a purpose, and that at least the perpetrator must think it works as a method of manipulating investors. If they didn't think it would work, they wouldn't bother doing it. And if it were an unsuccessful endeavor when previously done, then they wouldn't do it again.

There are many influences on the daily movement of the PPS. One solitary Long with large holdings may need cash in a hurry, and sell off. But bashing can be one of those influences.
