Perhaps the whole idea behind patented material is to have a public place where all the information about your invention is stored to make it easily available for large enities to pilfer. Of course a whole industry is created with the pseudo intent to protect your information from these enities thru the expensive use of lawyers, Judges, and Federal Agencies who pretend to be considering all the inate details, and complexities of your invention at such an expensive, slow pace that it would enable the non-monetaried use of your product at great profit to those, although undeserving, but vastly wealthy, and considerably influential enities.

And that is how we as a country distribute, and create wealth from nothing, since we no longer manufacture, or produce anything anymore. Ideas and information are too easily reproduced and the domains in which they exist are also too easily violated by those with influence.
