Brings to mind an interesting question. Will a person be better off having not averaged down. In that case fewer shares to unload, but higher average price needed to BE. Or will it be better to have averaged down at multiple intervals. In that case many more share to unload, but much lower average price to BE.
I do not know the answer, and obviously many other variables come into play, but my gut reaction is to prefer holding more cheaper shares. But I wonder if I feel that way because that is my position, or whether there is perhaps some rationale for thinking it is the more adventageous of the two choices.
For those not about to enjoy the football game, you might ponder the aforementioned and toss that around.
