Well, if our lawyers are worth 1/2 of what they're getting paid I would assume they already asked for a expedited handling of this newest reexam. IMO this examiner did not take the reexam request as being "baseless"...if he did he would have not issued the intent for this reexam to begin with. If the reexam requestors are basing their request on different combinations of prior art claims than the first one did then one would hate to think this new reexmainer is going to go the whole gamut like the first reexam but it is possible...at least I hope not.
Unfortunately we may be in for a longer than we hope for result which could take us into next year with all the OA's and the time delays for the answering periods that go along with them.
Hoping for a quick positive result...but expecting another 9-12 months.
