A legal question that has potential impact on this tread. Apple only used as example.

What if at some future point we have licensed all the likely chip suppliers to Apple. Could we demand that those licensees discontinue supplying Apple? Would that be the supply disruption that is talked about? How would supply disruption occur? What is the process?

I think understanding the process is key to understanding what the strategy might be in taking on an Apple. Surely Apple could keep us tied up in court indefinitely. IMHO, the only reason a company like Apple would settle with us would be a real potential for supply disruption.
