Hi Bosocker,
The reason (IMHO) that we had big volume yesterday was strictly because of the poor Quarterly. It was evident in the way that Cliff Flowers writes that he is flat matter of fact.... no conjectures or possibilities, just the facts, with some obvious input from PDSG.
TPL is going no where. Leckrone, as Sedley said, is contentious.
The fact that action was taken expeditiously today reflects well on Cliff Flowers that what he said was going on with TPL was immediately taken care of. This shows me he is doing his job and probably got Johnson to help him with the filing. He let Leckrone know PTSC was not going to be pushed around. This is extremely unfortunate, in the eyes of the public, that this happened but PTSC let them know the buck stops here.
Remember, he is the CFO and is taking on the responsibility of an area he certainly must be unfamiliar with. Can you imagine Goerner, Pohl, or Turley trying to run the books meeting Sarbanes, SEC and other requirements...no way. We have 1 man, uno, running the entire operation. This is why the messages are succinct and to the point. This does not help S/P but you can see that it is matter of fact. Unfortunately, the facts are not that great. You never know how the story will end. Many thought if you bought yesterday or today that you were stupid. Many feel that they were being reasonable when they bought into this at 50, 60, 90 cents even before this was being evaluated at PTO based on a Markman Hearing in TX. This does not mean they were stupid, they saw opportunity. People who bought in yesterday or today may also be wrong as the S/P could go lower but it also could double a week or two from now.
The problem right now is whether Dan Leckrone is going to throw a monkey wrench into this entire operation based on the management of TPL. If he does, this could cause a major problem in the future of the MMP. Why he is doing this is inside information, maybe only he knows why. He certainly yanked the chain of PTSC, maybe to see what he could get away with. Cliff Flowers and Company called him out. They said today, the heck with you. Don't ignore us or we will take you to Court. If this problem is effectively resolved we are back to collecting on licenses. If it is not there are problems which can't be determined by anyone at this point.
All knowledgeable people have reiterated the importance of this technology and its impact on technology now and the future. The S/P is depressing for longs, including me, but the show is not over. Hopefully PDSG and Holocom etc are much better than the radar thing they owned a couple years back. I believe it is. As one famous poster writes here, we shall see. Have a great evening and thanks for your common interest in PTSC.
