While CAT equipment may not have adaptive cruise, I'm sure my BMW doesn't have the following:
Caterpillar offers the following technology products to improve machine operations:
-
AccuGradeTM Grade Control System
- Computer Aided Earthmoving System (CAES) for landfill
Don't misunderstand, I dont disagree that there's likely more MMP tech in a BMW than a CAT, but you were characterizing the comparison as though it were covered wagons vs the space shuttle, or purely mechanical vs primarily electronic.
And my original comment had to do with Bosch and Caterpillar and the respective quartersa their licenses were recorded. Bosch makes spark plugs, brake pads, power tools, garden equipment, and literally TONS of other things that are non MMP related (like a steering system - mostly made of steel, alloys, etc.), just as CAT does construction equipment and components. So the annual revenue comparisons of a Bosch and a CAT as a reflective basis for MMP revs was the comparison I was drawing by saying there were some parallels that could be drawn.
While I'm not saying they are exactly the same, if you think it's simply ridiculous to compare those companies, then I suppose we do disagree.
