Dear wolfpackvolt and DISCHINO,
Thank you for your messages and for your continued support and patience. As I am sure you are aware, we've had an issue on this HUB and a small number of others, with the influx of a SPAM message from an online periodical.
We appreciate the community's response to this, and understand how this can be frustrating and confusing as this has happened at quite a frequent ration.
Please let it be known, that we have logged all the IP addresses used to SPAM our boards, and sent them to http://www.spamcop.net/ and http://www.abuse.net/. These IP addresses include many "Proxy Servers" (please see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Proxy_server for definition), which makes it quite hard to determine the exact location of these user or users.
Again, we wish to inform you that AGORACOM takes many measures to prevent SPAM before it happens; and it should it come to our boards, we are prompt to react. Again, we wish to remind you that even Wikipedia gets attacked everyday - what's important, is that when abuse does happen, we correct.
We invite anyone to visit http://www.google.ca/search?hl=en&rlz=1G1GGLQ_ENCA281&q=http%3A%2F%2Fcanadapicksonlineshop.info&aq=f&aqi=&aql=&oq=&gs_rfai= to see how many other websites have been attacked by similar SPAM messages. We also invite anyone, to show us where these messages are published, and where they are not. Further to the point, given the number of messages and networks these users have posted, we are sure that they have generated an enormous amount of report, and the web authorities will be sure to blacklist their IP and their Service Provider will shut down their domain.
On a final note, since all these SPAM messages have been flagged and removed, we wish to remind you that only HUB Leaders can view any content that has been removed. We understand that it can be frustrating to leap through a string of removed posts, however, new members WILL NOT see these flagged posts. To confirm this, please logout of AGORACOM, visit the PTSC Discussion forum (http://agoracom.com/ir/patriot/forums/discussion) and go through all of our threads. You won't see a hint of these messages.
Thanks again for your inquiry and for your dilligent efforts in this matter.
Regards,
AGORACOM
