It occurs to me that my proposed input to the Director may fall on deaf ears, in that I believe the USPTO has already implemented a "fast track" program (for new patents) where you pay a bigger fee and get faster action.

The input is probably too long anyway.

But the premise still makes sense - easy way to get funding - charge more, grow, perform.

I might have a different opinion if I were applying for a patent. LOL

I'll play with it tomorrow.
