Your assumption is that the examiner or his superior did nothing wrong and, if they did, there is no one to correct things. If that is indeed the case, as you and some others seem to feel, then the letter is indeed a waste of time and will do nothing. Unlikely to make things worse, if the cards are already stacked against us.

But, if you are of the opinion that the granting of the reexam should not have happened in the first place, and having been informed that there is no new SNQ, some find the tardiness in correcting the situation suspicious enough to be reported.

When you see someone buglarizing a home in the middle of the night, do you stop and say to yourself the individual must have permission to take those things or he wouldn't be doing this? Or do you report what looks to be a burglary to the proper authorities? I do hope it is the latter but, I must admit, I'm not sure about some here.

Reminds me of a Seinfeld episode where they were all arrested for doing nothing while watching a person get robbed. Makes one wonder.
