They are in the habit of making markets. They don't try to anticipate PPS, they work for their clients. Where there are people willing to buy and sell they show up. There was a bump in this stock on Monday and so there was some increased interest. MMs entered to fill the need.

Just so I'm clear, you think MMs are traders?
