(www.digitalmanagement.com), a leading IT solutions and business strategy consulting firm, announced today that Dr. William Luti, a retired career naval officer and former Special Assistant to the President for Defense Policy and Strategy at the White House, has been named Executive Vice President of the company's Cybersecurity Division. Prior to joining Digital Management, Mr. Luti served as Vice President of Strategy at Northrop Grumman's Information Systems sector where he played a leading role in defining the sector's growth strategy. In his new role, Mr. Luti will provide strategic direction and oversee business development activities for Digital Management's growing cybersecurity practice, and will expand the company's footprint, providing cybersecurity solutions and consulting services to civilian, military and intelligence agencies. Mr. Luti's public service credentials include leading critical strategic efforts for the nation and a distinguished Navy career. While at the White House he co-chaired the Cybersecurity and Communications Policy Coordinating Committee. He was responsible for interagency management for homeland and cyber defense, security cooperation, international defense agreements, national space policy, defense plans in support of military operations, and defense transformation. Previously, Mr. Luti served as Deputy Undersecretary of Defense where he managed the Department's relations with 27 Near Eastern and South Asian countries. Mr. Luti served 26 years as a naval officer in a wide variety of assignments, including the Chief of Naval Operations Executive Panel and Strategic Studies Group. He commanded an aviation squadron, an amphibious assault ship, and an amphibious ready group. He is also a veteran of the 1991 Desert Storm air campaign. He received many honors during his naval aviation career including three Legion of Merit awards, the Meritorious Service Medal, and the Strike/Flight Air Medal. In 2005, he received the Defense Department's Distinguished Public Service Medal. Mr. Luti has a doctorate and master's degree from Tufts University's Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy.
