True. On top of that we have supposedly only hit 20% of infringers; thus the total pot could be $1.25 billion, but that does not factor in the notion that most of those already licensed got discounted deals for being an early mover. If we assumed 40% discounts, then the $250mm equates to $416mm, which when divided by 20% equals $2.08 billion. And then you have the fact that the $250mm was perhaps further diluted (pursuant to the pending court allegations and the obvious extension that MMP licenses were discounted in favor of other licenses when sold in 'package deals'), thus maybe the $250mm should have been $300mm or more for starters.
Even on the lower end PTSC could potentially amass upwards of $1 per share in cash, and as long as the BoD doesn't piss it away again we could have some upside. The issue is getting licensing into the hands of reputable, trustworthy people, but that might involve the BoD aligning their prioritites with those of the shareholders. I am not holding my breath, as long as the 3 amigos continue to defy reasonable business practices, lack moral authority, and disregard the pleas of the owners of the company.
