"Small companies often fight each other more grimly than the big ones. For instance, the dispute between CPU developers GreenArray / Patriot Scientific (PTSC) and the licensing company Technology Properties Limited (TPL). It’s about a patent portfolio that protects several inventions by the Forth developer Chuck Moore. In 2006, after a long conflict, Moore had come to an agreement with PTSC and PTSC then made a deal with TPL. As a result of this ménage à trois, the company IntellaSys was founded, which soon announced a 24-core Forth micro-controller, followed by the 40-core SeaForth 40C18 in 2008. However, early in 2009, IntellaSys dismissed all employees. Chuck Moore then founded GreenArray with the IntellaSys team and now has a chip with 144 Forth cores in production."

It will be very interesting to see how all this plays out in regards to employee contracts, developement rights, and who really owns what? I don't believe we are involved in this but when the money trails are unravelled who knows who owns what, who funded what, or who should own what?
