The Supreme Court of Oklahoma Awards AMCAD with Integrated Case and Content Management System

HERNDON, Va. --(Business Wire)--

The State of Oklahoma Supreme Court and Administrative Office of the Courts announced today the award of a contract to AMCAD for the implementation of an electronic Case and Content Management System. "This system, when installed and operational, will further the vision to provide a paper on demand system for the 77 county trial courts throughout the State of Oklahoma, using the latest technology to provide better customer service to the citizens of Oklahoma," said Court Administrator Mike Evans. "The Electronic Case Management system will drastically reduce our court's dependency on the moving of paper files in order to process court cases. Additionally, this new system will give us the capability to track all electronic documents and provide instant access to document to decision making individuals. Through the use of this system, the Court Administrator Office expects to improve productivity and enhance the administration of due process."

"Our office released a Response for Proposal (RFP) in the fall of 2009 and then conducted an extensive and comprehensive evaluation process. After the completion of our evaluation, the committee decided overwhelmingly that AMCAD and its partners were clearly the right choice for the Administrative Office of the Courts. The company's written presentation, oral presentation and proof of concept clearly met all of our business and technical requirements," said Mr. Jerry Ward, Chief Information Officer for the Court Administrator's Office.

The project consists of all 77 trial courts and the Criminal and Civil Court of Appeals for the State f Oklahoma. Once fully implemented over 2500 users will be using the system on a daily basis processing over 800,000 cases annually. In addition the e-filing system and web portal will be available to all attorneys and pro se filers throughout the state eliminating the need to drive to the courthouse to file document which will streamline the case initiation process and improve the efficiency of the offices.

AMCAD's AiCMS system will automate the entire trail Court operation, including case management, financial processing, scheduling, role-defined dashboard, decision-based support systems and content management. Additionally, the new system will include a web portal incorporating e-filing that will provide the capability to electronically file documents and access records via the web, a process that will serve the practicing members of the Bar and provide more ready access to Court records for members of the public. AiCMS also improves staff productivity and accountability, and further streamlines office workflow by sharing information throughout the Clerk's operation. The AiCMS system utilizes the latest Microsoft .NET (News - Alert) technology, providing the court the ability to protect its investment in technology. The solution allows for remote access for the public to view case and calendar information across the state. This unique access, provided only by AMCAD, saves thousands of manual work hours per year. The AMCAD project will be implemented in the State of Oklahoma over the next 36 months.

"AMCAD is thrilled to assist the Oklahoma Supreme Court and Administrative Office of the Courts with the implementation of an electronic court case management system that creates a virtual courthouse that improves the electronic management of documents," said Visagar Shyamsundar, AMCAD's Chief Operating Officer. "We are very excited and committed to implementing a state of the art solution that will improve the court's operations and provide better access and service to the people of the State of Oklahoma."

AMCAD has several partners for the implementation in Administrative Office of Oklahoma Courts, including Patriot (News - Alert) Data Systems Group utilizing the Crossflo Data Exchange (CDX) system that features NIEM compliant integration tool.
