I have to admit, it is a bit confusing trying to understand what is going on.
As I understand it (from pacers) TPL wants to amend preliminary infringement contentions (PICs) for re-examined patents (890 & 749)to add new claims and new products
However, From the deposition of Dimas Brataadiredja, Director of Licensing Ops at Alliacense (filed 3/25/11)I see nothing about the 890.....so I'm not sure what is going on with that particular patent
Alliacense completed its effort to identify new infringing products and to draft claim charts showing how these products infringe the ‘749 patent claims, around March 23, 2011.
As a result of this effort, Alliacense identified: two Barco products first sold in the US after June 25, 2010 that infringe on the '749 patent claims expected to issue; three Acer products first sold in the United States after June 25, 2010 that infringe the ‘749 patent claims expected to issue; and thirteen HTC products first sold in the US after June 25, 2010 that infringe the ‘749 patent claims expected to issue.
