I sense some members of this board are interested in forensic accounting.
The CalCPA organisation has a conference coming up entitled "Fraud in Audit, Accounting and Tax". It includes sessions on Fraud Detection.
It's on July 7 in Universal City (Los Angeles area) and July 8 in San Francisco and also by Webcast.
The 'in person' events are $349 for CalCPA members, $469 for non-members.
The Webcast is $255 (member) or $295 (non-member) with groups discounts available.

There are also several other Fraud-related events before this one. Two relate to "Forensic Accounting", another to "The accountant's responsibility for fraud" and another to "Finding and Evaluating Frauds - A Case Study".
This is not a solicitation - I just happened to see the flyer in my daughter's mail!
