Glad to hear tham I may be an owner and not just an investor.
I guess my question would only be this. Are the rights of shareholders different from the rights of an owner of a private busisness? Perhaps there are different types of owners and different rights associated with each? I still stick with my control as being the critical factor in assessing meaningful ownership.
And speaking of control, here's a good one. If shares issued by the company represent physical ownership of the company, then how can the company take itself private? Private meaning there are no more shares on the market. What did the sharehoders own when they were holding all those shares? Hmmmmm.
