"Legal Fees
For the years ended May 31, 2011 and 2010, one legal service provider accounted for $5,024,404 and $1,038,568, respectively, of legal costs associated with the litigation of the MMP patent portfolio. These amounts are included in general and administrative expense in the accompanying statements of income."
Considering TPL is claiming Alliacense is a 3rd party entity for which it should be reimbursed, and that PDS spent $9.9M in FY2011, that would suggest that the MAJORITY of the remaining $4.9M in PDS expenses went directly to TPL's pockets. Perhaps there are some other fees / expenses, but when you have the bastion of ethical business practices heading up your licensing program, you gotta realize that there's a market rate for that kind of representation....and it apparently ain't a simple 15% cut anymore.
Thank goodness we have the EagleEyes 3 BODges making sure every penny counts!
