I have noticed the exact opposite. End of day buying to elevate the closing price (painting the tape). In fact a poster here last week announced he done exactly that. I have not done any analysis to see if there is more selling or buying at end of day. I DO NOT believe there are any cabal/traders/nefarious "big money" holders looking to get in as cheap as possible.

It is what it is. It is plainly written in the SEC reports, cryptic PRs, minimal trade #s, and absolute lack of interest of any "smart money"
