My question relating to ARM would be is the 584 going to get a new Markman? It is still in re-exam I beleive. ARM was let off the hook when we stipulated non-infringement as a procedural move in 2007. We need the 584 to come out of re-exam and get a new Markman based on the changes to vacate the old stipulation.

According to Leckrone, all ARM core families (ARM7, ARM9, ARM9E, ARM10E, ARM11) and the ARM Cortex microprocessor core family do infringe upon the US '584 as well as US 5,440,749 in the MMP Portfolio.

ARM is important because of its size and we are still able to go down stream and get end users. IMO the Quantas case was and is the biggest factor on licensing amounts. If we would have known about the limitations that Q case would put on end user licensing chip makers and suppliers would never have been offered a one time MMP license at that time. It would have been more lucrative to negotiate a royalty based license. IMO
