Baseball analogy: The BOD is in a "contract year", and are pulling out all the stops in "January > ala September" to show they should be "resigned", for another year. This does not excuse the fact they have had a terrible "April-August" season. IMO, the majority of the Owners (shareholders), would prefer the BOD (Players) become Free Agents and leave.
