Moxa... Apple has in deed purchased a MMP license.. back in 2010. It was one that was bundled with TPL's other core licenses and one that PTSC's portion was disproportionately reduced.. it was one that led to the litigation vs TPL... No links.. no proof.. but it is very true. Lambert's high estimation of PTSC's take home is very accurate...

I would guess between the PTSC/TPL litigation settlement.. and TPL's granting of Apples wish for a complete NDA, that there will never be any acknowledgement of an Apple MMP license... just as there were a cascade of 'no comments' at the ASM as opposed to a simple, 'Apple hasn't licensed'... So not only did PTSC get the very shortend of the Apple MMP fee stick, PTSC can not even trumpet to the investing world that Apple has in deed licensed the MMP. I have to wonder just who's idea to keep such a tight lid on this license was.. Apple's or PTSC's defacto BoD Leckrone's...

GE & Motorola are also MMP licensees... altho I have no idea if they will eventually be PR'd.. (I assume they will since I don't believe they were a part of the PTSC/TPL breech litigation, but who knows, perhaps they too have asked for complete annonymity) They and 3 (?) other as yet revealed licensees make up the $40M difference in PDS income.. as DL stated $350M at the ASM... Again as Lamberts has hypothesized those 5 average ~$8M per... Yay.. an increase in fees... boo when one considers just who it is that licensed... GE & Motorola and ???... PTSC's take home from these will be what, about $16M..? So we do have that going for us.. just too bad GE & Motorola are now off the the table, prior to the Markman decision.. IMO the likes of GE & Motorola shoud have been on the hook for a lot more than what they appear to have paid...
