The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) has issued a Notice of Intent to Issue Reexamination Certificate for US'584, confirming without amendment the validity of the patent over more than 270 references.

The issuance of the NIRC for US'584 marks the end of the latest series of Reexamination attacks against the MMP portfolio. The MMP Portfolio has now survived 17 Reexamination challenges over the past five years.
