I have seen several people have their Yahoo email accounts compromised.

What seems to happen is that there is the ability to configure 'alternate' email addresses in the Yahoo email account configuration utility.

You need to look at these entries and remove them asap if they are invalid, as well as changing your primary password. I hope the following links help...
