Aug. 23 (Bloomberg) -- Acer Inc., the world’s third-largest
computer maker, expects no significant impact from a U.S.
International Trade Commission investigation into alleged patent
infringement, the Taipei-based company said in an e-mailed
statement today.
Technology Properties Ltd., Patriot Scientific Corp. and
Phoenix Digital Solutions LLC, alleged patent infringement by
Acer, the statement said. The claim dates back to 2007 when Acer
sued to declare certain Technology Properties patents invalid,
with that company then countersuing, it said.
