Everyone here assumes so. But no one is talking about the only things that would nail it down: whether the products accused of infringing have clocks that actually vary with temperature and voltage and separate DMA CPUs that actually fetch end execute instructions. That's what da Judge said is required.
I know the bigger micros (because my son just put together a computer) use quartz crystals that lock the operating speed in. But I don't know about these smaller embedded micros.
I know we fought hard to have the DMA construed to just be a "circuit" rather than a CPU. Just sayin'. It would be great if someone here would address that, instead of saying it is a slam dunk. Have seen no convincing argument that it is one.
