You just reminded me of another point in the licnese agreement which extends the life of the patents.

While the present license agreement expires when the last US patent expires, it is suggested that licensees obtain extensions that would cover them until non-US patents expire. So there is an attempt at extending the MMP life-cycle. Is there any reason to think that such license extensions are not realistic?
