Why say they were let off the hook?

That quote is attributed to me.. and it was in response to OPC regarding the probablity of DL/TPL settling with Acer & HTC prior to the ITC/T2 trial conflicts this summer... The context in which it was made was if DL/TPL do in deed settle with the T2 prior to a MSJ or trial resolution it would IMO be letting them off the hook..
