I'd gladly take a settlement with Acer this week if it were in the $50M neighborhood! Perhaps, would even swallow my pride and be happy with a $30M one, though that wouldn't sit nearly as well with me.

Granted, I'd prefer a litigated result, pro or con as that would likely be the most "definitive" result, but knowing our justice system, there is little that is ever that definitive, one way or the other, even if we get to that point. So, $30M to $50M or more from Acer wouldn't chap my buttocks in the least, and IMO would be a pretty strong signal to those who want to continue to "play the game" with the MMP infringement, that the grass isn't necessarily greener on the other side of a verdict

All that said, IMO, the likelihood of a settlement of that magnitude is almost nil, and considering the lack of skin in the game from our BOD and especially our CEO, the likelihood of a significant win ultimately is 50/50 at best, and likely worse considering we're battling bohemoths who are Goliaths to our David.
