With few exceptions, we see federal Agencies or the DOJ simply slap relatively minor monetary fines against companies in this catagory. They are just now admitting to the unholy alliance. It's been a nod and a wink between major institutions and the Federal Government for decades. It's just so laughingly common and obvious, that they've now gone public with an articulated and contrived legitimacy for it.

Makes you wonder who the AG has in mind.. who's on deck, what shoe will drop ???

It's the private sector which forces culpability and mounts the litigation for Class Actions or liability for most of those firms which are thereafter crippled into bankruptcy, merger or reorganization due to those offending actions or criminal behavior.
