Shboom was a left-over design that was given a make-over when the IC industry's fabrication processes allowed for the higher speed transformation. I doubt you'll find much mention of this "product" in any news articles less than 5++ years old.

There are many good arguments published recently that support "patent troll" operations, and point out their favorable USA economic impact. My point is that the US Goverment is openly hostle to what they call Patent Trolls. I don't like the name either, but let's not pretend it doesen't fit PTSC.
