Ghostmusic says "hotter is faster" with new technology materials and I am OK with that or at least won't dispute it. Maybe it explains why "cold boots" take so da@n long!
HOWEVER.... The various transcripts etc seem to have Otteson and others claiming "hotter is slower".
To my mind the point is simply that heat/temperature is one of the factors causing variations in performance.
If "our side" is presenting it wrong, there is a risk that credibility of witnesses could be questioned.
Should Otteson clear this up asap (regardless of who is correct, or perhaps explaining what ghostmusic wrote) or let it ride? It does lead to the interesting discussion of how the increasing speed of components is offset by the decreasing speed of their interconnects unless that is moot if they are all on the same silicon stratum.
