New Pacer NDoC

New Pacer crystalizing the final Markman ruling by Judge Grewal. Nothing of great substance has changed. You can tell when reading Judge Grewal's decision that he understands the technology and will be a fair arbiter in the NDoC. I wish he was at the ITC. Still a chance for Judge Gildea to explain clock jitter. It is a known physical phenomenon in microprocessor clocking and one of the largest sources of clock jitter comes from the ring oscillator in a voltage controlled oscillator. Explain that, Gildea! I'm confident Judge Grewal can, although it is up to a jury at his venue. The existence of clock jitter is "proof" that the ring oscillator is its "own" timing device that does not rely on the external crystal. How far does Judge Grewal want to go into the detail? The PLL minimizes greatly the clock jitter/phase noise, but it doesn't remove it completely. Come on Judge Grewal, physics are physics are physics. Don't let the staff attorney Whitney use his 100k ft view of the world to distract you for one second...tongue firmly planted in cheek!
