Message: No one's happy about PTSC's profitable year?

Hm, not understanding why you find the points you brought up disturbing (besides the last one) - here are my answers:

1. Patents expiring
Nothing new, we know this from the beginning how long these patents last - and we know that we only can charge companies for the last six years not after the expiring date.
THIS is the main tactic by the infringing companies who fight like hell to delay everything since more than seven years!

2. Revenue from the MMP "only" around $12mio
I guess that's what you're trying to say with the excerpts from the 10K: the revenue coming from the MMP is ridiculous compared to 2006-2008.
Again: nothing new, we know that PTSC/TPL will only get back to the amount of revenue from 2006-2008 IF and AFTER the trials go our way.
And again 2: THIS is the other main tactic by every infringing company in the world to let the patent owners starve, hoping they don't have to pay because the patent owner has passed then ...

3. $3,6mio for an "unrelated law firm"
Yes, I found this interesting, too, but not necessarely disturbing.
Either it's a hidden payment to Alliacense (what I do NOT believe) or it could be a law company not in the U.S. but in Europe or Asia helping to increase the licensing scope of the MMP.

4. Licensing fee dispute
Here I agree 100% with you: though it's only $300,000 about PTSC and TPL are in dispute, it sucks.

It's a two times digital bet - but we knew this from the beginning...:
ITC: yes/no
NDOC: yes/no

Let's hope the U.S. legal system is not a dummy for the big corporates.
