Thus, if they released the K 'early', prior to finalization of the settlement, then that is a timing issue and does not preclude them from an announcement later if, in fact, the numbers are large enough with respect to materiality to warrant a filing. I don't know if their 'early' filing was on purpose to sidestep (at least temporarily) the public airing of this event, i.e. in the K, or whether this settlement rises to the level of materiality and must be reported upon for accounting purposes at all (regardless of whether terms were redacted in legal filings).
