One might think making a sweeheart offer to Acer could make some sense if doing so might bring about a domino effect with others signing but w/o any big discount.
But it looks like Amazon signed before Acer. Meaning we made the split payment offer to Amazon, not just Acer. Also the Acer deal was last minute, so domino effect was essentially impossible.
Those two points lead one to believe that the offer was not intended to create a domino effect, but was probably made to all ITC litigants. Why some and not all?
If so, and only Acer and Amazon took advantage, perhaps those split payment deals were not as small as some are presently thinking.
