"Moore is an active inventor with an EE following, and he has a recognizable name (his own and the one he fortuitiously shares with that "other" Moore). Moore's MMP affiliation tells the jury an inspiring and graspable story that Chuck Moore believed in his invention so much that he still maintained a financial interest in it's commercial success through all those years of infringment and zero compensation up through to today. Moore is finally on the threshold of receiving his inventive due on what is now a common practiced technology where megacorporations have denied him the recognition and financial rewards from his efforts and innovation. It's an old story, it's been played out many many times in courtrooms across America; we've all seen it or heard about it. On a personal note, I'll say that Mr. Moore even "looks the part" of that quinessential inventor too. I believe he will put that intangable sympathic and human element (face) to HTC's infringment."
Great post Brian.
I was just going to make a similar post but you beat me to it.... :)
IMO, at a minimum, just the "prescence" of the Inventor, whom the 336 MMP is named after, conveys confidence. It gives the jury a chance to size up the man sotospeak connecting the Man to the Patent invention. Moore's testimony will be very important and provide valued testimony to counter, if needed, to whatever Fish make bring to the table, IMO.
Moore's testimony may provide highlights to total court testimony by all witnessses, if he can illustrate in easy to understand language for jurors, the state of the Elecetronic Industry was 10-15 years ago, and the computer speeds operating then, IBM AT/XT, Pentium, etc compared to today with the panolopy of high-speed desktops/laptops, smartphones, high-speed Internet, Routers, Switching Machines, Car Electronics, etc and how the world has changed by crucial technology developed by the 336 MMP, and what the patented invention did for everyday living. He's the INVENTOR for chrissakes !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Combine the above, with his charasimatic personality and his folksy manner, he would present a sympathetic character and an entirely believable witness to the jury. Personally, I would love to see him in action. He will be DYNOMITE !!!....Virt
