Message: 5 reexams on the '336 took from 2007 until Nov of 2011 to

We know "PUBPAT" filed the reexam in 2007

Actually, the '336 was requested for reexam in 2006... by NEC in Sept closely followed by Toshiba in Oct... but I get the gist of your post..

My question is if $10M, as has been mentioned in court filings and in posts here, is in deed the amount being litigated over (minus willful+costs) why would HTC ring up probably $20 in legal fees inorder to avoid paying $10M for an MMP license???? It makes no sense to me... and if this is the case, why are we still offering them a tier 3 - level license..?? Even tho this litigation which has gone thru 5 yrs and forced TPL to license the MMP for less and less just to fund this very litigation and keep the doors open.. HTC still gets off on the cheap?? I can only hope that justice will prevail here and HTC is found guilty of Willful Infringement and also be made to pay our legal court costs!

Actually... if the above is in deed the case.. I'd just tell them to remove the '336 tech from their products.. they aren't allowed to use it..
