With the high integration on silicon these days, Intel would have to create chips form-fit-function compatible with those now found to infringe, or the infringers would have to redesign circuitry to adapt to either a non-infringing chip to to one currently available from Intel. Either way, that's a LOT of work on both sides as well as a LOT of regulatory compliance tests to complete. Also either way, until the work is done and the old designs retired, the meter keeps running for MMP infringement unless they settle.
