They really can't do anything until the fog totally clears from our victory:
1. a rejection of HTC's motion for a judgement of non-infringement
2. a rejection of a potential appeal by HTC
3. an upholding of a verdict if HTC is granted an appeal
4. ITC review not granted or granted
They could put out a "hand-holding" PR to try and hold down the anxiety levels, but then that would just be shot down as fluff.
The important thing right now is to get a finality on the verdict of infringement, and to resume licensing at higher rates.
The ITC reversing its decision would be icing on the cake, but I don't expect that to happen. To think otherwise is being too optimistic. At this point, I expect the worst, but hope for a positive surprise.
Once the hurdles are out of the way, then we should expect, and demand, a detailed plan from Cliff.
