"How can this appeal be good? Honestly, are they appealing because it will do PTSC investors good, or are they appealling for the benefit the Leckrone family? Can you elaborate on what happens once the patent ends in 2015 and how that affects the ability to generate licensing revenue . . . . be well "
Agility, IMO is operating under the assumption of "Leaving no stone unturned/Leaving nothing on the table". They are just being thorough in fulfilling their client legal duties. I would expect nothing less in their pursuit of all legal remedies available in the court system for the 2 Claims which were deemed unenforceable against HTC by the Judge. Nothing sinister, IMO.
The 336 Claim was/is the Major Claim within the MMP portfolio. While the legal appeal is in the system and a legal decision is likely at least a year away, there is nothing to prevent PTSC from pursuing licenses regarding the 336 Claim.
Benefiting the Leckrone Family only?????...."Hold the Ball" strategy???..Lecky needs as many Dollars as fast as possible unless he squirreled away millions in the Cayman Islands, (which I don't doubt). However, to defer from aggressively pursuing any and all potential licensees, given the remaining time-frame available is non-sensical, IMO. We're talking potentially Hundreds of Millions here.
While at least a few hundred, at a minimum conservatively speaking, potential licensees remain, active pursuit in earnest of these fish is paramount. Being notified by certified mail is one thing. Filing suit in court takes time and money (Legal costs, reverse engineering, charts). To date, PTSC has not provided any insight or plans how this is to be accomplished. Outsourcing, to be sure, will be used. But where are the funds to accomplish such a massive undertaking??....Self-funded by future licensees???
Of course, only Lecky knows directly the ultimate size of the MMP universe. Bigger than the Milky Way but smaller than Andromeda. Right now, PTSC investors are stuck in a Nebula where sensors are useless!!!!! Virt
