Politics entering this case is a possibility. Obama recently prevented an injunction against Apple from happening in an ITC case the first time a President has used this power in decades. He is a collectivist who stands against individual rights and those include the individual property rights inherent when it comes to patents. Hopefully since an American company is not the prime target here that will not be an issue.
