See the text below from HTC's NDOC filing. I just have to wonder how many other similar examples of unnecessariy high costs have been handed off for PDS and/or PTSC to pay in the name of "15% overhead" or "billable expenses". I wish the PTSC Board would instigate a line item reconciliation and deep dive into each and every expense they have ever paid directly or indirectly to TPL, Alliancense, and similar entities over the years.
Is this why the PTSC Board continues to refuse to have an independent internal audit carried out? Even when requested to do so during a SHAM?
One can only wonder how many millions of PTSC dollars have been paid out without any validation - especially with the recent revelation (in the TPL BK documents) that questions were only asked by PTSC since September 2013.
How does a shareholder get such an audit performed? SEC?
How many times do you think Gloria Felcyn or Cliff Flowers has had the guts to ask the following (paraphrased from the HTC original)?
In addition, the exorbitant fee TPL is charging for Dr. Smith's travel, lodging, and meals is unreasonably excessive. As TPL points out, the cost of airfare is recoverable if the fare was the most economical available. Dr. Smith's airfare from Dallas Fort Worth, Texas to San Jose, California cost $1,911.60. Moreover, TPL has charged PTSC an additional $553.05 in change fees. Thus, including travel agent fees, TPL submits that PTSC should pay $2,528.65 for Dr. Smith’s airfare. Although it is not possible to determine what the most economical fare available was at the time this ticket was purchased, a simple search on Expedia.com reveals that a last-minute roundtrip ticket flying the same route would cost as little as $554.60. A cost of nearly five times that is simply unjustifiable. PTSC therefore requests that Dr. Smith's airfare be limited to $600.00.
One can only wonder how much could be recovered by an audit of work product items against hours billed.
