Downtown Detroit is going to look like the Ukranian Capitol soon. All this overpayment of benefits to government employees was, from the early inception, unstainable. Now those who received such life time benefits on our dime will have to pay some money back. I can only think of my aunt who worked for a state agency and retired after 25 years, medical coverage for life, 21 sick days a year (that she could accrue and then the state pays her for them up to 40 days), 5 weeks vacation, 10 persoanl days (above and beyond sick days), 60% of her salary at retirement (she retired at 55), and all on our dime.
This country is heading for civil unrests al precipitated by our own greed. Two things come to mind:
1.) Chris Christie's speech to the NJ Firefighters when he was first elected. They tried to boo him off the stage but he ended up winning most of their hearts. He basically told them the truth on how they need to give back because the state can't afford the gross over-benefitting of the state employees.
2.) Dinesh D'Sousa's debate at U of Oregon with Socatic Club

Sorry for the off topic but philosophically it all applies to the greed that has enveloped Leckrone and his family of theives.
