Her first reply to me after I sent her a letter for the Judge to read was:

Please send whatever you would like the Judge to read into the court at the
address below. It will then be file stamped and put on the docket and the
Judge will receive it through the proper channels. I don't accept filings
by email. I'm sorry to have to ask you to jump through this hoop, but it's
really a matter of procedures. I hope you understand.

The parties are looking at July 3 at 1:30pm as a continued date. Many
thanks.

I replied and told her that jumping through that hoop wouldn't help for the hearing on May 29, she sent the following reply:

If you object to a continuance perhaps you could appear in the courtroom
tomorrow and state your objection on the record or alternatively make a
reservation with CourtCall to appear telephonically (866-582-6878). You
could also arrive early and file your pleading in the clerk's office asking
them to carry it back to chambers in a red folder.
