As I recall, historically, Option grants occured early in the first Quarter of the fiscal year, usually in June. I've always thought this as a silly trick, done so that the compensation figures for Insiders appeared lower in the Fiscal Year 10K report which closes out on May 31st.

Lets see if a Form 4 appears.

Personally, I wouldn't rule anything past these folks if there was a way for them to personally gain financially.
