You are right about that... that`s why I said, put you to sleep, keep you alive and wake you up after.. all three components are neccessary for a successful surgery/anesthetic.. Poor anesthesia providers weed themselves out of practice pretty quickly.. not that sh!t doesn`t happen.. it does and always will, but there is a higher chance of one getting killed in a car accident than not waking up from a surgery. You want the lowdown on your local anesthesia providers and/or surgeons... get to know a few OR nurses. I think what one of the scariest aspects of surgery is, is handing over complete control of ones life to some one else.. we don`t like to do that.. not to mention boring run of the mill surgery doesn`t make for very good TV ratings.
