because I just now realized how stupid I am for not catching this the first time. Moementum posts a definition of subsidiary right out of the dictionary. Unfortunately, if you go by the definition that he posted and apply it to the MS/Apple discussion, since MS is the one that gave Apple money, that would make MS the subsidiary of Apple, not the other way around.
