robb - A merger might be a good idea assuming Alliacense/TPL would agree to it. Chuck Moore is the inventor of whatever chip Alliacense is about to unveil (with input from other engineers no doubt). There is no way to know if he used any of the MMP tech in the design... but logic says he may very well have. If such is the case then Patriot will share in any revenues generated from sales/licenses so there may not be much incentive for a merger. If on the other hand the chip is something new altogether (doubtful) then a merger might make more sense. There is risk though... if the chip doesn`t sell or contains too many bugs then Patriot could be stuck with an albatross.
